A long history and a galaxy of advanced culture and talents. Dezhou is an important birthplace of Longshan culture and a place where Qilu culture and Yanzhao culture converge. The "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Planning Outline" clarifies the development positioning of Dezhou's "one district and four bases", namely, the construction of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei industry Achievement transformation, high-quality agricultural products supply, labor transportation base, and important ecological function area in southern Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei. The linear distance between Dezhou and the Xiongan New Area under construction is 160 kilometers, and it is the "bridgehead" of Shandong Province connecting with the Xiongan New Area. Dezhou is rich in hydropower resources, with 9 reservoirs of more than tens of millions of cubic meters, realizing dual water source guarantees from Yellow River and Yangtze River; Huaneng Dezhou Power Plant in the territory is the main power plant of Shandong Power Grid, with a total installed capacity of 2.63 million kilowatts. With abundant human resources, it has 49 colleges and universities and secondary vocational education schools, and trains more than 200,000 high- and intermediate-level vocational and technical talents every year. Dezhou has the abundant land resources, which can meet the land demand of enterprises.
